I've been thinking lately what were some of the best books of 2009. I've put together my list of the books by what I loved and for no other reason and I've seen what other websites, but this is my list and well here they are:

1. The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Heiber
I loved this book. This book was so unlike anything else that I read. The story was beautifully written and loved how the story unfolded. The romance was perfectly timed and had a feeling that the writer truly loved writing these characters especially Persphone Parker who is the heroine. Plus the heroine was so unconventional.

2. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead-Book 4 of The Vampire Academy
I love this series. This series never disappoints me at all. I was so heartbroken at the end of book 3 when Dimitri got turned into a Sturgoi. Rose goes off in search of Dimitri and things just take off. Not to mention back at St. Vladmir's Lissa, is having problems of her own. You are reminded of Rose's agony at even having to kill the man she loves and then confronts him and things become problematic at the least. Then they fight, make up, Dimitiri even offering Rose the chance to become like him, a Sturgoi. Rose almost agrees to this, but changes her mind and they have an epic fight, and we are not even sure if Dimitri is dead. Lissa thanks to their telepathic bond, is able to fight off a spirit user. This book delivered on all levels and their was a twist at the end I didn't expect

3. Goddess of The Hunt by Tessa Dare
This book had everything I liked in a novel, even though the heroine was not likeable, but I did enjoy it very much. Lucy became likeable and Jeremy was such a good strong hero that you can't but help but fall in love with the characters.

4. In Over Her Head by Judi Fennell
Just thought the world of this book. Love sweet stories told with some humor and thought that this Mermaid tale was so perfect.

5. Rapture by Jacquelyn Frank
The second book in the Shadowdwellers was just one hot read. Steamy and hot sex that just melts. This is Jacquelyn Franks best book. Definitely Loved Magnus and Deinara. One of the most perfect couples ever written.

6. Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon
This book had everything you come to expect of a Kenyon. Plus I kind of was waiting for Aimee Peltier to get a love interest and I was pleasantly surprised by who it turned out to be.

7. Three Days to Dead by Kelly Meding
I loved this book. The cover immediately caught my attention. It had vampires, trolls, goblins, hunters, reincartation. I like books with a lot of action. This book is told from the heroine's point of view and I loved it. Thought Evagenline Stone is a great addition to the urban fantasy and this book should be read by everyone.

8. The Winter Queen by Amanda McCabe
I love novels that are set in Tudor England. Plus it doesn't hurts that it's by  Amanda. This novel was a great read.

9. The Book of Scandal by Julia London
What was great about this book was how the married couple learned to talked to one another, deal with their issues and learn to come together despite the tragedies that have happened to them and learned how to be stronger together and they fell in love with each other again.

10.Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler
This series which will be called the Jane True series reminds me a lot of the early Sookie Stackhouse novels. Yet Jane True is half human and well something else, but I will not spoil it. I like it because it's a world of it's own and this has a unique charm to it.

Well this is my top ten of 2009
